Winner of Literature Works' First Page Prize (supported by the Arts Council England)

• Winner of Literature Works' First Page Prize (supported by the Arts Council England). Judged by Walter Scott Prize winner Tom Vowler, author of the novels What Lies Within and That Dark Remembered Day, and the short story collection The Method.

• Literature Works is the regional literature development agency for South West England, supporting, investing in, and advocating for access to literature in all its contexts. The Arts Council England is the national development agency for creativity and culture.

Lorian Hemingway Honorable Mention

• Recipient of an Honourable Mention at the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition. The prize was judged by Lorian Hemingway (author, journalist and granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway) and Dr. Rob Merritt (Professor of English and Director of the Honours Program at Bluefield College, Kentucky).

• The winners were announced at Ernest Hemingway’s Key West, Florida residence ‘Casa Antigua’ during ‘Hemingway Days’, which honours the Pulitzer Prize winning author during a week of festivities.

Golden Key International Honor Society

• Awarded lifetime membership to Golden Key International Honor Society, an Atlanta, Georgia-based non-profit organization founded in 1977 to recognize academic achievement among college and university students.
